Abstract:
In order to research effects of slenderness ratio on the bearing capacity of CFRP-PCPs composite reinforced concrete eccentric compression long columns, three specimens were designed for eccentric loading tests. Under the same conditions as other parameters, test results showed that the cracking load and ultimate bearing capacity of the specimens decreased with the increase of the slenderness ratio. When the specimen is destroyed, the tensile failure did not appeared in the CFRP-PCPs composite reinforcement, and the lateral deformation is restored after unloading. Based on results of the test , the calculation theory of the eccentricity augmentation is proposed, and the comparison showed that the test results agreed well with the calculated values.
