Numerical Analysis on Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Panel by ANSYS

Abstract:
To study the effect of different spans and different point loading on the panel bending performance and failure modes under the case of same reinforcement, three-point loading and four-point loading tests were carried out on 6 specimens. The experiment results show that the ultimate carrying capacity of four-point loading panel is greater than that of three-point loading panel and the maximum displacement is less under the case of same reinforcement and same span. The ultimate carrying capacity of longer span panel is much less than that of shorter span panel, but the maximum displacement is much more greater. Nonlinear analysis were performed on two panels of different spans by ANSYS, the numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
