Abstract：
According to the city and county of Jilin province and the topography map literature characteristics of 9 640 rural settlements spatial location, data correction, after identification, to have a quantitative analysis of the value of the 8 134 basic rural sample, analyzed by GIS and RS software, after sorting, screening and review, the establishment of Jilin Province the rural settlement database, the systematic research on the precision for further development of village rules and process, for different types of settlement location and pattern, spatial characteristics and its formation mechanism.
