Abstract:
Wide-span complex space steel structure has many characteristics, such as large area and relatively high structural redundancy, etc., but grid and shell structure having relatively little design redundancy may suffer from integral structure failure due to local component failure or local instability under extreme conditions. This paper made an overview on the status quo of study on progressive collapse mechanism and design method of wide-span complex space steel structure and introduced the progressive collapse monitoring technique adopted during steel structure roof construction of the cored area of Beijing Daxing International Airport, to explore the method for improving the construction safety of wide-span complex space steel structure.
